The Cooma Little Theatre has been asked by the owners of the Squatters Arms at Bunyan to provide a director and actors for a one act play about a piece of Cooma’s history.
Apparently in the 1880’s two bushrangers known as “The Clarke Brothers” held up Cooma Races and then moved on to the Squatters Arms and forced the patrons at that Hostellery to have lunch with them and then robbed them before making off through the Rose Valley Road with the police in chase.
The idea is to turn this into a one act play, perform it at our June production of One Act Plays then produce it at The Squatters Arms with paid Actors for as long as they feel it is feasible.
Anyone fancying directing this venture or wanting further info or a copy of the play’s précis ring Jim Brindle.

Have you ever seen a production at Cooma Little Theatre and stopped to think how it is lit? Well, our lighting designers/operators, Liz Sherlock and John Chapman, are calling for some new faces to learn how to do their job.
If you don‟t have the confidence or time to act or direct, why not contribute to a production in another way?
If you are interested in learning how to operate the lights, feel free to contact Liz Sherlock on 6452 2812. |

CLT is in need for more people to help with wardrobe duty.
If you could do at least one set of two weeks (that's only two hours altogether) it would be a great help! It would take the pressure off those few who are currently helping out.
If you can help, please contact Caroline Fox on 6452 3383 (or email
